It all started with a simple conversation on the infamous BlackPlanet - "You should name your book - Sunrise In A Mahogany World."

Needless to say, that book has not left the stages of editing and Mahogany has evolved from Mahogany Sunshine Brown to Mahogany Sun to the now Mahogahni. The "Sunrise" has now emerged to "The Huerizon".

To that person Mahogahni symbolized (in writing) what many us of hue-mans wanted - to raise our people. To put our people ahead, for our voices to be heard, for the mindless media madness to be stopped, to have our own, be our own, and sometimes left alone, and most important respect for the all bearing Queens and Kings. (Yes, Queen will always be represented first on this site).

And that Mahogahni was just another effort in rising the sun on a mahogany (ie brown ie black) world. But the empahsis is much more than black - nobody is black, our aspects are complexions of varied hues. So with that - what does the sun do?

HORIZON - Webster's Definitions: 1(a) the apparent junction of earth and sky (c) range of perception or experience (d) something that might be attained* (b)- that definition did not pertain to this

It rises over the horizon. Thus, what was a unique name to gather our endeavors under? THE HUERIZON. Because everyday from a cd review, an unknown history tidbit, a discussion, anything to acknowledge who we are, what we are, and what we can do, to support, give love, to critic what we need to rise.

Prophet - We didn't want the brothas to get offended that ya'll didn't have no rep in here. Sorry - (we don't have many brothas into this right now) - stick tight though and trust us - this Pure Aries will hold it down for ya'll! Words he lives by: "Lord, Thank You For This Day."
